AN ARTIST WALKS INTO A

A stand up comedy routine which takes an awkward path - where facts are delivered as jokes.

Canned laughter fills in the awkward silence  left by the audience.

This routine often responds to the event in which it takes place. For the opening night of The Horticultural Society of New York's exhibition Implant in New York, the jokes related specifically to the horticultural industry.

Q: What do you call a cut flower handler with nausea, dizziness, vomiting and diarrhea?

A: A cut flower handler with pesticide exposure!

(canned laughter)

Performed various versions at: Rules and Regs, Farnham Maltings 2007, IMPLANT, UBS Gallery, New York 2008, Limbo Arts, Margate 2008
