JOKES FROM THE HA-HA
2 Screen Video Installation. 9 mins
"What do you call the useless piece of skin at the end of a man’s penis? ....His body."
"What do you call that useless piece of skin around a pussy? ...A woman."
One male and one female performer simultaneously tell sexist jokes about men and women while standing in a Ha-Ha. Deadpan in delivery, the jokes bleed and layer over the top of one another creating a droning cacophony of petulant insult - sometimes with the same punchline.
"How many divorced men does it take to screw in a light bulb? ...Nobody knows the ex-wife always gets the house."
"How many divorced women does it take to screw in a light bulb? ...Four. One to screw in the bulb, three to form a support group."
"What’s the difference between a battery and a man? ...A battery has a positive side."
"What's the difference between a battery and a woman? ...A battery has a positive side."
...and so on.
